Mammoth Salmon creates an awesome list of songs that have a real crunch to them while containing the slow tempo of doom metal, the overall feel of stoner rock, and the vocals that are perfect for any sort of sludge metal band. Each track has a great feel with a plethora of hooks and riffs that make them very easy to listen to along with drawing you in and making the song more interesting. It is definitely a very awesome album in just about every way possible for its style and it shows that Mammoth Salmon is both an innovative and intriguing band. Metal Addicts

Last Vestige Of Humanity is possibly Mammoth Salmon's finest work to date after a string of acclaimed EP's. Mammoth Salmon are ready to show the world what they can do with their blistering debut album. What you get is 6 tracks of heavy down-tuned Sludge/Doom/Stoner Metal riffs with Mammoth Salmon showing why they're worth giving a damn about. These guys have some brilliant ideas waiting to be discovered underneath the murky swamp based rhythms of the album. Outlaws of the Sun

It’s certainly impressive to see Mammoth Salmon evolve into the band they are now and by deconstructing the doom sound and stripping it right back to its bare essentials, they are reaping a slow harvest. They’re a fine band and deserve your attention. This is a band doing doom as it should be done and a remarkable improvement on an already enjoyable debut release. Echoes and Dust

Each and every track has a crunch to it, a slow tempo that is both captivating and entertaining, and an overall feel that is rare in doom metal, but it just works so damn well that I can’t help but listen to it. Mammoth Salmon have done what many bands before them have failed to do: create something unique and interesting that fans of the original sound and those who aren’t can really enjoy simply because “Last Vestige of Humanity” is a unique album from a band that clearly has gotten the gears turning. If I have to say anything about Mammoth Salmon’s future after what I would call a successful first full length, it would be this; they will only get better as they without a doubt have the talent to do something that can shit peoples’ pants, including mine. Flavored with haunting atmospheric parts, MAMMOTH SALMON’s debut full length “Last Vestige Of Humanity” is full of thick and juicy riffs, and is sure to please more than just the seasoned fans of the genre. It is 46 minutes full of dirty sludgy doomy riffs that can only be best experienced by listening to them. The fact that the album was released independently makes this even cooler. Metal Temple

Calling it sludge would be to ignore the music’s rich, creative groove, calling it doom would dismiss the band’s ebullient nature, calling it stoner might suggest faster tempos than you actually get… So what shall we call it? Let’s just call it massive. Listening to Mammoth Salmon is like stripping naked and wrestling a rabid bear. It’s big, powerful, furry and has a deadly arsenal… but once you’ve done it, you feel an enormous sense of warm satisfaction. There is a stirring humanity and honesty to the songs and Paul Dudziak’s earthy vocals and fleshy guitar tones create an energetically anguished combination. Doom Metal Heaven
